At the first-ever Grain Assault event in 2010, Protege quickly established himself as a top-tier emcee in the English Conference. He defeated Fuego in dominating fashion and improved even further from there. Up to now, no one was able to match his impressive flow, intricate multis, and heavy-hitting technical lines. His match versus SinCity is often considered by fans to be his best performance in the league to date. Protege made such a huge impact that he was also invited by King of the Dot (Canada) and 1Outs (Australia) to battle.
The QC-based emcee also has a successful career in music. Way before FlipTop started, he and his crew Audible MCs were already rocking shows and dropping dope tracks. The group eventually released their debut album “Undivided Attention” in March of 2006, and it’s now regarded as a classic. Protege is currently working on his debut solo project.
