We asked longtime FlipTop fans about their predictions for Bwelta Balentong 11
The 11th chapter of Bwelta Balentong is just around the corner and we asked a few fans about their predictions on the event. These are fans who’ve supported the league since its inception and have watched live at least 10 times. Since these are their personal opinions, no need for violent reactions if you disagree, don’t hesitate to share your own predictions and/or thoughts in the comments section. Let’s begin!
Fan 1: The main event will shock everyone
I’m still seeing comments about Sinio vs Shernan being a themed or “gimmicky” battle and not worthy of being the main event. I wholeheartedly disagree with that. I believe Bwelta Balentong 11 is where we will see Sinio and Shernan unleash their top form. Of course, there will still be plenty of jokes in this match but I’m also expecting tons of heavy-hitting lines and angles. Never underestimate these battle rap veterans!
Fan 2: The new generation will shine
2024 has been a great year for the up-and-comers. The recent Won Minutes events made it official: FlipTop’s future is in very good hands. On Bwelta Balentong 11, we will see the new generation in action. There’s the clash between Don Rafael and Keelan and a Dos Por Dos bout where the team of Caspher and Hespero takes on Kenzer and Mimack. I believe they will elevate their material and performance further and gain a much bigger fanbase after this. Don’t sleep on them!
Fan 3: Other non-tournament battles will be equally epic
M Zhayt vs Zend Luke, Hazky vs CripLi, and Manda Baliw vs Katana. Who wouldn’t want to see these guaranteed historic matchups? Hazky vs CripLi and Manda Baliw vs Kantana are sure to be showcases of original humor and innovative concepts. M Zhayt vs Zend Luke will undoubtedly be a rap lyricism clinic from the first to the third round. I believe these battles will also make waves when they’re uploaded on YouTube.
Fan 4: Isabuhay Semis will make history
History has shown that the semifinals of the Isabuhay Tournament always give us unforgettable clashes and moments. This year is no exception! Just look at the two battles: GL vs EJ Power and SlockOne vs Vitrum. Each emcee has a lyrical style that is not only effective but creative and original as well. They’ve also vastly improved when it comes to stage presence and performance, so expect them to go all out at Bwela Balentong 11. Who will be the final two? It’s really hard to predict!
Fan 5: It’s only the beginning for Dos Por Dos
I’m very much looking forward to the Dos Por Dos match at Bwelta Balentong 11. I think it will be a close match and the crowd will go wild for it. I also believe that it will lead to an announcement regarding the future of 2-on-2 battles in FlipTop. Now, what exactly will that be? Is it about the return of the tournament? I’m not sure. I just have a feeling we will get a surprise.
Fan 6: History made in a new venue
Bwelta Balentong 11 takes place at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig. It’s the league’s first time to hold an event in the venue. As someone who has been there on more than a few occasions, I can say it’s the perfect place for an affair like this. It’s huge, well-ventilated, and well-lit. The air-conditioners can handle a packed house as well! I can already see that FlipTop will break attendance records here and the crowd will be the loudest ever. I hope this won’t be the last time the league steps foot at Metrotent.
For those who’ve already purchased tickets, we’ll see you all this Saturday. Let’s enjoy the battles plus the music provided by the one and only DJ Supreme Fist.
