Intro:
I welcome y'all
To the abyss... of my heaven
...And hell
Yo, the name is Kensa: writer and producer The rest of who I am doesn't matter Passionate, compassionate
Painfully empathic yet a fucking hateful asshole Cynical romantic, selfish bastard, klutzy dumbass
Tryna correct myself each day with one mistake at a time Don't judge me at my worst, don't venerate me in my prime I hope we could connect or reconnect in some way
I consider y’all friends through our universal pain
‘Cause you and I are the same (You and I are the same) I know how it feels to have the entire world against you
Being alone, being rejected, being detested, being despised
So I pray this album makes you feel a lil’ bit less of all that (I'll try…)
I.
Back to the basics of bringing back that young Tangerine Mixing tabs of acid with absinthe and a tad bit of aspirin My first album was all practice for advancing theatrics I’m coming back with a plan of attack,
Lambasting you all with the madness of crack addicts
Panic attack!
Better take a fucking laxative
I’m ripping off your dreams, poetic license, and entitlement Y’all think y’all have mastered every aspect of the narrative Well, settle down, this is my haranguing, all you bastards listen
It took me massive to be honest with my craft
In this refinery, I vanquished all the parts of me that’s wack
Then went higher up the ranks, planted the flag with Over Shadows
Now I’m granted the highest command with all the doubters overshadowed
Never considered myself as an artist That is the habit of narcissists
Too egotistical to glance on what is the larger pic I got a mind of a thousand slaves
I’ve given up my emancipation
If that’s gonna kill me then I will be taking my masters down to the ground with me
Bridge:
We all tryna touch the sky for a while now
But when you try, you couldn’t even rise somehow
The ladder steps are never ending so you keep ascending
But the greater the height, the harder you fall into the ground, yeah
We take for granted all our talents and advantage, I know Find contentment in the safest zone and place so let go of the ladder, break from the crowd
‘Cause all along, you didn’t know you had the wings to soar the clouds, yeah

Interlude (Eyedea):
There’s… kind of the perpetual psychological state of most artists that I know that deals with a lot of regret. In general, there’s a lot of stuff that I regret, but it kind of all compiles and turns you into who you are so it’s difficult to say, “Oh I regret this one thing” because it kind of opened a door into another thing.
Outro:
The preceding soliloquies are a culmination of fragmented realizations by our nameless protagonist. And it was at this moment that he takes a leap of faith and wakes up on the ground unscathed… As he lies on a bed of roses, he observes the
